Tickets for Trump campaign rally include liability disclaimer about possible exposure to coronavirus

WASHINGTON – Want tickets to President Donald Trump’s campaign rally next week in Oklahoma? Then you’ve got to agree you won’t sue him if you contract coronavirus.

The sign-up page for free tickets on the Trump campaign website comes with a liability waiver that says the campaign or other parties associated with the event next Friday at the BOK Center in Tulsa cannot be held liable for exposure to coronavirus.

“By clicking register below, you are acknowledging that an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present,” the waiver says. Continue reading.

Trump rails against House Democrats, impeachment inquiry during campaign rally: ‘It’s all a hoax’

The Hill logoPresident Trump spent the outset of a campaign rally Wednesday evening railing against House Democrats, accusing them of pursuing a “deranged, delusional, destructive and hyperpartisan impeachment witch hunt.”

“It’s all a hoax. It’s a scam,” Trump told a cheering crowd at the Monroe Civic Center in Louisiana.

“I had a perfect phone call, a totally perfect phone call,” he added, referring to his July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Trump also continued his attacks on the credibility of the anonymous whistleblower who raised alarm about the call, accusing the individual of making a “horrible statement” about the call and claiming without evidence that the person had “disappeared” after the White House released a transcript of it.

President Donald Trump introduced a new lie to his repertoire Thursday night at a campaign in Pennsylvania, even as he attacked the media for supposedly spreading lies about him.

While defending his much-derided summit in Helsinki with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Trump said, “Russia’s very unhappy Trump won, that I can tell you.”

But this is a blatant lie, and we know Trump knows it’s a lie. First, we know this because the U.S. intelligence community unanimously concluded that Russia intervened in the 2016 election in order to help Trump win.
