‘It’s a fascist statement!’ Trump totally freaks out about Nancy Pelosi saying he committed crimes

President Donald Trump accused House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of making a “fascist statement” during a Fox & Friends interview on Friday morning.

After being shown a clip of Pelosi saying that she believed Trump engaged in a “criminal coverup,” the president exploded with rage.

“It’s a fascist statement, it’s a disgraceful statement!” he shouted. “I call her Nervous Nancy, she’s a nervous wreck. For her to make that statement, it’s outrageous!”

‘Follow the money’: Nancy Pelosi lays out the source of all Trump family scandals

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) harkened back to the Watergate scandal in her weekly press conference Thursday and instructed the press to “follow the money.”

When speaking about the mounting scandals facing President Donald Trump and his White House, she said that Americans should all be concerned and disgusted by the president’s statements in an interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos.

“Everybody in the country should be totally appalled by what the president said last night,” she said. “Should be totally appalled. He has a habit of making appalling statements. This one borders on so totally unethical but he doesn’t even realize it.”

Morning Joe co-host ridicules Hannity’s freakout over Pelosi saying Trump belongs in prison: ‘Irony meter’ melted down ‘like Chernobyl’

Fox News host Sean Hannity freaked out over House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) calling for President Donald Trump’s imprisonment — and MSNBC’s Willie Geist was astonished.

Pelosi said earlier this week that she remained uninterested in impeachment, but would prefer Trump be voted out next year and prosecuted and put in prison.

“Speaker Pelosi now apparently telling senior Democrats that she’d like to see Trump behind bars,” Hannity informed viewers.

Pelosi warns Trump impeachment is inevitable: ‘He knows what his violations have been’

Talk show host Jimmy Kimmel challenged House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) to explain why President Donald Trump wasn’t already facing impeachment.

The California Democrat has so far been holding back the growing push to launch an impeachment inquiry against the president, but she told the late-night host that Trump understood why that was inevitable.

“We have to be ready,” Pelosi said. “Our Founders, in the darkest days of the Revolution, they said, ‘The times have found us.’ Well, I think right now the times have found us. We have a defiance of the Constitution of the United States, and so when we go down this path, we have to be ready, and it has to be clear to the American people, and we have to hope that it’ll be clear to the Republicans in the United States Senate.”

Trump takes major step toward pushing Congress to vote on North America trade deal — despite Pelosi’s warning

The White House triggered a process Thursday that would allow President Trump to submit his new trade deal with Canada and Mexico to Congress after 30 days, three people briefed on the planning said, a direct challenge to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) who had warned against such a step.

The decision to send the draft “Statement of Administrative Action” to Congress marks a milestone in Trump’s push to overhaul the 1994 North American Free Trade Agreement, but it heightens tensions with Democrats who have said they need more time to review the deal and work for changes.

Pelosi directly cautioned U.S. Trade Representative Robert E. Lighthizer not to send the draft report until Democrats have spent more time working with the White House on the plan. And on Thursday, she attacked the White House’s decision to move ahead.

Right-wing outlets spread bogus video of Nancy Pelosi on social media to say she’s drunk

Right-wing groups are circulating deceiving videos of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s remarks Wednesday at a Center for American Progress event. In the video, posted to FacebookYouTube, and Twitter accounts, Pelosi’s speech has been subtly slurred, suggesting she’s drunk, by slowing down the video to about 75% of its actual speed, according to The Washington Post.

As with all things on social media, the bogus video is ripping through at lightning speed. A version posted by the right-wing Facebook page Politics WatchDog has already been viewed more than 1.6 million times. Thanks, Facebook. (By the way, be careful out there—so much misinformation.)

This is clearly intended to be a knock on Pelosi’s competence and credibility. She keeps besting Trump, and since Trump can’t beat her without getting outside help, right-wing forces are swooping in to provide a meme about Pelosi that can run wild on social media. Remember when the National Enquirer continually fanned the conspiracy theory that Hillary Clinton was sickly? This is most likely the beginning of a conspiracy theory that Pelosi drinks. It’s interesting that they’re using slurred speech to go after her when Trump is constantly slurring his words, likely due to some form of mental deterioration.

Trump, Pelosi engage in 29-hour war of insults worthy of ‘Veep’ storyline

HBO series has wrapped, but president and speaker keep its spirit alive as relationship sours again

ANALYSIS HBO’s hit series “Veep,” with its hysterically dysfunctional depiction of official Washington, wrapped its seven-season run earlier this month. Or did it?

The president called the speaker of the House “crazy” after she pleaded for White House aides and his family members to hold an “intervention” for the leader of the free world. No, that’s not a scene from the Julia Louis-Dreyfus-starring show. It’s just the latest shenanigans from two of the most powerful officials in Washington — and on the entire planet, for that matter.

President Donald Trump and Speaker Nancy Pelosi have never been on good terms, despite occasionally describing civil phone calls or a rare meeting where everyone stayed in the room or avoided bickering in front of reporters and television cameras. But since she took back the gavel in January, the two have yet to negotiate and pass any major legislation.

Here’s what really led to Trump’s Rose Garden temper tantrum

Hint: It was not Pelosi’s remarks about a presidential cover-up.

Trump was scheduled to meet with Democratic leaders at the White House on Wednesday morning to continue their discussion about infrastructure. Just prior to the meeting, Speaker Nancy Pelosi met with her caucus and made this statement to the press about their discussion.

JUST IN: Speaker Pelosi says “we believe the president of the United States is engaged in a cover up” by stonewalling testimony for ongoing congressional investigations.

5,208 people are talking about this

When Democratic leaders arrived at the White House, Trump walked into the room, went on a five-minute rant about ongoing investigations, and then walked out. He proceeded to the Rose Garden where he held a supposedly impromptu press conference, refusing to govern until Democrats stopped their investigations. They claim that it was Pelosi’s remarks about a cover-up that triggered it all.

But take a look at the lectern from which the president made his remarks in the Rose Garden.

Pelosi: Trump ‘crying out’ for impeachment

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Thursday accused President Trump of begging for Democrats to launch impeachment proceedings against him as a strategy for distracting the public from the many scandals dogging his administration.

Pelosi said Trump’s decision to break off infrastructure talks with Democratic leaders at the White House the previous day was based on his frustration that the Speaker has no intention of starting the impeachment process.

“There’s no question: the White House is just crying out for impeachment. That’s why he flipped yesterday, because he was just hoping,” Pelosi told reporters in the Capitol.

Trump’s infrastructure week meltdown backfired immediately — and Senate Republicans know it

The day after Republicans lost control of the House of Representatives following last fall’s midterm elections, President Trump took to both Twitter and a podium at the White House to warn Democrats not to investigate his administration or else he would use the power of the presidency to stop any new federal legislation.

“If that happens,” Trump said of Democratic investigations leading to subpoenas for members of his administration, “then we’re going to do the same thing, and government comes to a halt. And I would blame them.”

On Wednesday, Trump made good on his threat.
