“Brynn is an outstanding talent with the skills and experience to thrive in the role of Legislative Director,” said Speaker Hortman. “She has served the Minnesota House DFL well for many years, and I’m looking forward to working with her in her new role.”
Hausz has worked for the Minnesota House DFL caucus in various roles since 2005.Hausz has been a staff member of the House DFL leadership team since 2014, first as the Executive Assistant to Speaker Paul Thissen, then later as the Executive Assistant to the Minority Caucus and the Director of Caucus Services. Hausz currently serves as the Executive Assistant to the Majority Caucus for Speaker Hortman.
Hausz started as an intern for the House DFL campaign and worked as a Canvasser on the 2006 campaign. She started at the Minnesota House in 2007 as a Legislative Assistant for Representatives Melissa Hortman and Steve Simon. She has also worked as a DFL Research Consultant covering State Government Finance, Government Operations, Elections, and Pensions.
Hausz lives in Richfield with her family. She is excited for the new challenge and opportunity to serve the House DFL caucus members in a new capacity.
