Rep. Erin Koegel (37A) – Legislative Update
Dear Neighbors,
The first bill deadline for this session is Thursday at midnight, so committees are having long meetings to get bills heard and passed.
Here are some updates from the Capitol:
Hwy 47 Bill Introduced
Last Thursday, I introduced a bill that would require and fund a safety study of Hwy 47 in Fridley, Blaine, Coon Rapids, and Spring Lake Park. Increasing the safety of Hwy 47 for drivers and pedestrians is one of my highest priorities this session, and I’m glad members of both parties have signaled their support for my bill.
AFSCME Day on the Hill
Tuesday was AFSCME’s Day on the Hill and I had a chance to
meet with some of the hardworking Minnesotans who help provide many of the services we rely on in our day-to-day lives. Thanks to them for stopping by!
Girl Scouts Visit
Last Friday, a group of Girl Scouts stopped by my office to visit and go for a tour of the Capitol. It was a great experience for me and it’s always so rewarding to speak with the next generation of leaders!
Town Hall Invitation
I’ll be hosting a Town Hall meeting with Sen. Jerry Newton. Details are below:
Monday, April 2
5:30-7:30 p.m.
Northtown Library
711 County Road 10 NE
Blaine, MN, 55434
I look forward to seeing you there! If you’re not able to make it, please feel free to reach out with your thoughts or concerns on
legislative matters at the Capitol. I appreciate your input.
Sincerely,
Erin Koegel
State Representative
