President Trump isn’t a great speller. This is not news. But on Friday, his penchant for typos really couldn’t have been more poorly timed.
Trump tweeted twice about a Politico story that reported on Nancy Pelosi’s misstatement that she had never met Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak. The first time, he misspelled “hereby” as “hear by.”
Then he deleted that tweet and tried again — this time misspelling it “hearby.”
And then the kicker: In the brief period between those two tweets, Trump tweeted about something else. And that something else just happened to be about how the U.S. education system is failing our children.
Indeed.
Trump eventually righted the ship.
We’re pretty sure George W. Bush feels his pain.
