We’re hearing from our DFL Representatives and Senators who voted on the bills giving insurance premium relief. They fought hard to help Minnesotans dealing with premium surges now, and not a year from now.
The “reform” portion of the bill allowing foreign and for-profit insurance companies into Minnesota was something our DFL legislators had to compromise on with the Republican majorities. They know there’s more work to be done here and hope to return to it for future refinement.
Gov. Dayton doesn’t believe this is in the best interests of Minnesotans either. But, has signed the bill to get help to people who’ve been waiting too long for relief.
