Hagedorn’s staff has even gone so far as to call the Mankato Police on the Hagedorn’s own constituents twice, with both instances ending in the police determining they “weren’t doing anything wrong and left.” Hagedorn is clearly committed to preventing differing viewpoints from being expressed in his office, displaying once again his unfitness for the office he holds.
Minnesota DFL Party Chairman Ken Martin released the following statement on Hagedorn’s decision to ban constituents from visiting his district office:
“The office of a U.S. Congressperson should be a welcoming and open environment. Just because Congressman Hagedorn is either unwilling or unable to justify his destructive policies does not entitle him to hunker down and ban constituents from voicing their opinion. A representative should listen to all of the people they represent, regardless of which party they belong to.”
