Governor Walz Announces Huber Engineered Woods LLC to Bring 150 New Jobs to Cohasset
Iron Range Resources & Rehabilitation Board approves $15 million to construct a new wood products manufacturing facility
On Monday, Governor Walz announced the Iron Range Resources & Rehabilitation Board approved $15 million in funding for the construction of the new Huber Engineered Woods LLC manufacturing facility in Cohasset, bringing 150 new jobs to the region.
“The State of Minnesota is proud to collaborate with Huber Engineered Woods to bring 150 new jobs to Cohasset,” said Governor Walz. “Huber is an innovative and unique leader in the building products industry, and we’re excited about the positive economic impact this investment will make in the region.”
Governor Walz Visits Allianz Field to Highlight State’s Vaccination Partnership with Minnesota’s Pro Sports Teams
On Wednesday, Governor Walz visited a vaccination clinic at Allianz Field, home of Minnesota United FC professional soccer club, to highlight the state’s vaccination partnership with Minnesota’s professional sports teams to meet Minnesotans where they are, offer convenient vaccination opportunities, and build the broad community protection needed to keep their fans and the state safe. Lieutenant Governor Flanagan Tours Kimber Contours Family Farm During Pollinator Week
On Thursday, in recognition of Pollinator Week 2021, Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan toured Kimber Contours Family Farm to learn more about pollinator-friendly practices.
“Their work is so important in protecting our state’s bees, habitats, and other pollinators,” said Lieutenant Governor Flanagan. “We care for our pollinators because they care for us.”
Governor Walz Proclaims Prince Day in Minnesota
Governor Walz has proclaimed June 25, 2021, as Prince Day in the State of Minnesota to honor the life and legacy of music industry innovator, mentor, and philanthropist, Prince Rogers Nelson and and acknowledge the release of his album “Purple Rain” on June 25, 1984. Prince was the creator of “The Minneapolis Sound,” and a contribution not only to the global catalogue of music genres, but to Minnesota’s worldwide prominence and its economic growth.
