Today is Election Day

Polls are open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Here’s a link to information on voting in person: sos.state.mn.us/elections-voting/election-day-voting/. Things to remember:

  • Minnesota is a same-day registration state. There’s a link below that will give you the specifics.
  • In Minnesota, your employer must allow you time off to vote.
  • If you’re in line when the polls close at 8:00 PM, you will be allowed to vote.

UPDATE OCTOBER 29, 9:30 PM — It is now too late to mail your absentee ballot back. This evening the 8th Circuit Court ruled in the suit brought by the Republican Party of Minnesota to void the August agreement extending the window for receiving ballots postmarked by November 3 (Election Day) is voided.

AS OF THIS EVENING, ABSENTEE BALLOTS WILL NEED TO BE RECEIVED BY 3:00 PM ON ELECTION DAY. TO BE SAFE DELIVER YOUR BALLOT OR VOTE EARLY OR ON ELECTION TO ASSURE YOUR VOTE WILL COUNT.

How do Minnesota’s Presidential Electors Selected
