DFL Announces 2020 Democratic Presidential Primary Ballot

Today, Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party Chairman Ken Martin submitted the names of the presidential candidates that qualified for the Minnesota primary ballot to the Secretary of State. The following candidates will appear on the Minnesota ballot:

Amy Klobuchar – Andrew Yang – Bernie Sanders – Cory Booker – Deval Patrick – Elizabeth Warren – Joseph Biden – John K. Delaney – Julián Castro – Marianne Williamson – Michael Bennet – Michael R. Bloomberg – Pete Buttigieg – Tom Steyer – Tulsi Gabbard

Voters who are yet undecided will also have the option to select “Uncommitted” on their ballot.

The Minnesota presidential primary will be held on March 3rd, and early voting in the primary begins on January 17th.

Ken Martin, Chairman of the Minnesota DFL, released the following statement:

“On behalf of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, our candidates, elected officials, party leaders, and activists throughout the great state of Minnesota, I am honored today to submit the names of the terrific slate of candidates that will be on Minnesota’s presidential ballot to the Secretary of State.

“It has been 28 years since Minensota last conducted a presidential primary, and with this filing, we have an unprecedented and historic number of candidates who have qualified to represent our party on the presidential primary ballot. Minnesota voters have the opportunity to choose between 15 highly qualified candidates for the Democratic nomination, any one of whom would make a better president than Donald Trump.

“The DFL will continue to run a clean, fair, and transparent primary process that gives everyone a voice and makes our party stronger. We encourage voters across the state to cast their ballots in the Democratic primary to help shape the future of our party and our country.”
