Americans everywhere are organizing and mobilizing to protest the historically unpopular nomination of Brett Kavanaugh. Here’s just a glimpse of those working across the country to fight his confirmation to the Supreme Court:
Americans gathered in the Hart Senate Office Building, organized by Move On, NARAL, Planned Parenthood Action, EMILY’s List, NWLC, The Leadership Conference, Human Rights Campaign, the Center For American Progress, AFL-CIO, and SEIU, along with so many other incredible partner organizations, where they held a daylight vigil.
Indigenous leaders of North Dakota penned a letter to voice their opposition to Kavanaugh and traveled all the way to D.C. to join protests yesterday.
To show the immense opposition to Kavanaugh’s views on women’s rights, women dressed as handmaids, organized by Demand Justice, silently protested outside the hearing room.
The NAACP walked with senators to Kavanaugh’s hearing to protest his record on civil rights.
At Kavanaugh’s hearing, UltraViolet, the Women’s March and the Center for Popular Democracy Actionspoke out against Kavanaugh’s nomination.
More than 200 families and survivors harmed by gun violence, with the help of Newtown Action Alliance, signed this open letter to ask the Senate to stop Kavanaugh’s nomination.
A veteran, who was featured by VoteVets, called on Senator Collins to protect her right to reproductive freedom. She said, “I fought for your freedom, Sen. Collins. Now it’s your turn to fight for mine.”
Alaskans were featured by Planned Parenthood talking about their opposition to Kavanaugh.
Tens of thousands of Americans have called their senators and voiced their opposition to Kavanaugh, thanks to the help of Stand Up America, Indivisible, and so many others.
